Grand Forks Police Review Officer TikTok Video

GRAND FORKS (trfnews.i234.me) — The Grand Forks Police Department has opened a review involving an officer’s social media activity.

The review began after reports surfaced about a TikTok video showing a female officer in uniform.

The city’s police chief said department officials became aware of the matter over the weekend.

The department then started a review under its standard procedures.

Police officials have not released further details while that review continues.

Video Circulated Online

The TikTok video circulated online before it was later deleted.

In the video, the officer appears in a police uniform while lip-synching to a viral audio clip.

The audio includes a reference to being “white girl wasted.”

The officer also appears to make a gesture that simulates firing a gun.

The video appears to have been recorded inside a school building.

It also included the hashtag “SRO,” which is commonly used for school resource officers.

Officials have not said how long the review could take.

They also have not announced whether the officer remains assigned to regular duties.

No disciplinary action was announced in the information provided.

The review does not itself mean department rules were violated.

It is intended to determine what happened and whether department policies apply.

The Grand Forks Police Department provides information about its operations through the city’s official website.

The department’s Office of Professional Standards handles internal affairs and department policy matters.

More information about that office is available on the city’s Police Bureaus page.

Police have not identified any additional people connected to the review.

Officials have also not announced when more information could become available.

TRF News will update the story if the department releases additional confirmed details.
